Jefferson County woman killed in car accident

Billy J. Grass, 41, of High Ridge was killed in an accident which occurred on Old Sugar Creek Road April 16, 2012. The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. Emily M. Yowell, 32, of Fenton, Missouri was seriously injured in that same accident. Yowell was a passenger in the car being driven by Grass. Grass was driving a 1997 Mitsubishi 3000GT south on Old Sugar Creek Road and crossed the center lane after losing control of the vehicle and veered off the roadway and crashed headlong into a tree. Billy Grass was pronounced dead at the scene. Emily Yowell was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in serious condition. She is listed in critical condition today at Mercy Hospital in Creve Coeur. Unfortunately neither women was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
